waisted worry

As I sit in fear tonight, chewing on other's surfaced doubts-specifically our age (25&26)-I am reminded of an analogy dear to my heart...

When Jesus was resurrected and returned to show the Lord's miracle, He came not to a man, but to a woman first. I don't think I need to reiterate how crazy that was given the thought of women in society at the time. God likes to do unconventional things.
When Jesus was sharing the good news- he came not to the "holy people"- but to the broken, poor, "insignificant," willing hearts.

We might be young, but we have willing hearts. God can use us. This is what I have to hold on to in the midst of trivial fears.

Unfortunately, our contact at Catholic Charities told us that there are no pictures. BUT... we can take lots of pics when they get here!

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

You are so right in believing that God can and does use anyone with a willing heart. Take heart! "For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His." (2 Chronicles 16:9)

God bless you in His timing in His ways, with His love.
